I am selling my Morgan 24 (24ft, 11 in) sailboat, as I have bought a larger one. I repainted the hull (Top, Sides and Bottom) last year, while I was doing a full refit on it. I have yet to finish the inside refit, it still needs cushions. She is a early 60's fiberglass boat with a hull that is built like a tank; very heavy and stable for her size.
What I did in the last year: New paint New Battery Brand new hinged mast step Sanded down and re-varnished all of the bright work Rebuilt all of the running ringing (New Ronstan Blocks) Had all of the standing ringing professionally replaced or inspected. Remove the old direct pump out head and fiber glass over the through hulls. Removed, Re-beded, and installed backing plates for all deck gear to include stanchions. Installed new life lines
What it comes with: Main sail (good condition) 100% Jib (good condition) New sheets 2011 Mercury 5hp 4 Stroke Gas tank Upgraded Barlow 16 Winches Safety gear (Life vests, Flares, etc) Stereo system Band new in the box marine port-o-potty
What it still needs: Cushions Window curtains A new Center board (sails without it as it has a short full keel but would be better with it)
This Boat makes a Great day Sailer and I have spent more than a few nights on her, with a little work on the inside she could be a great family boat. This is a awesome boat to learn how to sail on, as the keel is molded into the hull so if you bump bottom it does not damage the keel like a fin keel boat would. |
