We are selling our 1972 Catalina 27 with and inboard diesel engine - she is Hull #284
Our sailboat has an inboard Kubota 2 cylinder diesel, which are much more desirable! We will be very sad to let her go. We have had her since March, we put $3,000 into her immediately upon purchase, since then, she has given us nothing but joy. We are only selling her because we enjoy the water so much we want another boat, We spend literally every weekend on Sleepwalk - taking her out for long days sailing while entertaining friends and enjoying peaceful sunset cruises. She has been nothing but reliable, she handles very well, and the engine starts without fail. A major advantage to her is that she is ready to sail - NO BOTTOM PAINT NEEDED - no need to take her out of the water for bottom paint or repairs (we did this for you last season!)
We love to eat dinner, drink wine & sleep on sleepwalk a few times a week. While the boat has an ample V-berth, or the dinette can be dropped down to watch the stars while you sleep. There are also 2 quarter berths, and although currently, the starboard quarter birth has a mini fridge in its place she can still sleep several 5-6 comfortably.
A survey was completed in March 2015 at the time of purchase. After which we hauled her out and had some repairs done & bottom painted (We listed the recent work below). We take good care of her, inside & out. We would be happy to share the survey with you and we will also show you the paperwork which shows the replacement and repairs. We will be completely transparent with you - we have nothing to hide:) She is a GREAT BOAT! |
